How Erkab Skills Training Organization collects, stores, protects, and handles applicant and user information.
When applying for student scholarships or trainer roles, Erkab collects personal information including names, educational credentials, contact phone numbers (specifically Telegram phone numbers for cohort communications), email addresses, and identification documents (such as National IDs or Kebele IDs).
Sensitive identification documents and educational credentials submitted through our public portal are transferred securely to private, access-controlled backend storage. Erkab does not store National IDs or private certificates in publicly readable browser storage or public web directories. Documents are utilized solely by the Admissions Review Committee.
Collected information is used exclusively to evaluate cohort scholarship eligibility, communicate admissions results and lab assignments, coordinate tutoring schedules, and fulfill statutory educational reporting.
We do not sell, rent, or trade applicant information to commercial advertisers. Anonymized cohort statistical data may be shared with verified funding partners and educational ministries to report on community impact.
Applicants may request review, modification, or withdrawal of their application files by writing to privacy@erkab.org.
